SOTG3!! and a comic!

Here's a normal afternoon! Location: Milan, Italy.

Other stuff I may have seen: stuff that belongs to someone dead! It was in a museum!

And after a long day of walking around the gritty streets of bustling city, I got inspired by Street Fighter.

Sketching on the Go!! 2!!!

Sketches from the train to Pisa, Italy (you clicky to learn!). The ride was pretty uneventful, unless you count that red, lame looking dementor trying to sneak into our compartment. I don't know why this surprises me, but it does: Italy has way more corn growing in it than you'd ever expect.

Pisa itself was a cute little town--the same great looking architecture is in a lot of the city--but we all know why everyone goes to Pisa.

This is why.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is actually a bell tower for a cathedral. All around it, there are tourists trying to take pictures of each other "propping" up the tower.

I know there are only "Leaning Tower" people in front of the actual tower, but I couldn't resist putting them in where they don't belong.

So I was bored...

And I made a drawing for a fake ad for a dagger company (the world's finest dagger company).

Sketching on the Go!!

So, more travelling junk. I generally hate having to draw buildings and landscape, so I thought I'd force myself to draw a bunch of that while abroad.

First stop on my Europe trip was Milan to visit some relatives. One of the land marks we visited was the Milan Cathedral (click this link for more info and a picture of the facade of the building). It's a really pretty building and there are tons of tourists and people selling stuff to tourists all around it. Anyways, I climbed up to the roof to draw the spires (old stairs are so scary when you don't like heights!), and later the interior of the church.

I'm so hipster I don't even use an old film camera...I draw shit. Anyways, more travel stuff later--it was either stagger out the posts or make one really long ass entry.

NananananananaLEARNING!

So if you haven't heard of it yet, there's this thing called the Super-Dictionary that DC had put out way back--click this link to a Cracked article that tells you all the hilarious details. Anyways, the panels they show from it are amazing, like, have-me-on-the-floor-laughing amazing. And I just couldn't resist making this.

The Pronunciation of Samurai

There's a whole lot of nothing to do when you're on a plane and none of the inflight movies interest you.

Adventure Time! Kenneth's Birthday Edition!

So, it was my cousin's 21st birthday recently, and he loves the Cartoon Network show, Adventure Time (by the way there are Adventure Time comics and they are super fun). Since I'm always in a state of flat out broke (basically), I used my art skills to make an Adventure Time comic with his face in it. See if you can spot it. Also, my sister came up with the idea for it, I just made the characters speak words and do things. Obviously, I have no rights to the Adventure Time characters, they belong to Cartoon Network and whoever. Blah blah blah. Oh my glob, you guys. Geez.

More From Travelling With Nicole!!!

So, it's mid-flight and I really need to go to the bathroom and there is a long and awkwardly set up line waiting along that cramped aisle between the rows of airplane seats. I see a set of bathrooms with NO line (and I really needed to go) so I tottle my way over there (tottle because I can't walk too normal after sitting in the same position for five hours doing nothing). Before I can even touch the door, a stewardess goes and tells me: "There are two lavatories in the back for general passengers, hun." Externally I say "Oh. Okay." But internally I am screaming "FUCK YOU!" I didn't see their special "no poor people" curtain--it was pulled back. Also, I hate when people call me hun. Also, it should be noted that I really had to go.

Also, of course the flight is really long from Portland, Oregon to New York City. And of course, I'm next to a baby.
