As per usual, this one is a comic book themed post! It's for Wytches, art by Jock and writing by Scott Snyde, published by Image comics. It's about a family that moves into new town for a new life, and of course, the creepiest stuff happens to them. I'm sure I did a poor job of selling it to you, but it's great so read it anyways! Pledged is pledged!

It's...The Sonics!
For October I'm going Halloween themed! The first hit the Sonics ever had was a song called "The Witch". Really really great early 60's band, and arguably the first punk band (but that history is more my boyfriend's expertise).
So presented to you in two options: more yearbook graffiti and less yearbook graffiti. Also, sorry if your name is Eunice Miller or Francis Lemming.

The IT Crowd
On the one hand, I'm happy I'm able to keep this up. It was challenging at first, especially after that break I took. On the other hand, I'm late all the time on my own self-inflicted deadline and I sometimes doubt what I'm doing because it's just fan art in the end, you know? But then I remember the whole point was to make enough to sell at a comic con or something. Anyways...
The IT Crowd! A hilarious show from across the pond! Watch it!

Rear Window
Rear Window is a classic Hitchcock film starring James Sterwart and Grace Kelly, but I'm sure you knew that already because you have impeccable taste.
Late Quantum and Woody
I messed up my schedule by skipping a few weeks because excuses like vacation and sick and other not so valid things. Quantum and Woody is a comic from Valiant. It's been brought back from the 90's (like many things these days), and while I haven't read the old stuff, I think the new stuff is freaking hilarious.

Let the Bullets Fly
This one's for the Chinese film, Let the Bullets Fly. Check it out! A bandit and his crew pose as a governor and his assistants to take a town run by mobsters for all it's worth. Actually that's a shite description, but I believe people should see this movie and thus do not wish to spoil it. Also, I was okay with how this one was going and then hit a road block with the type. But it's not like I'm being paid to do this lol. (I wish I was T_T )

Deadly Class
I really like this comic book, Deadly Class, written by Rick Remender with wicked art by Wes Craig and Lee Loughridge. It's like, all the really real bits of high school get a thousand times more intense because these kids are being trained to be assassins. Great writing, great art, bing bam boom. It's the perfect package. My boyfriend had some interesting ideas to pursue for this one, but I was tired and lazy and we just get this.

Francoise Hardy
The specificness (actual word?) of this statement makes me feel pretentious. I like 60's French pop singers. Francoise Hardy is one. She is also a fashion icon there? Or at least one of her time? I don't know. I just like the music of hers that I've downloaded. Also smoking is bad. But this was just so of the time period okay? But don't smoke today. That's not of the time period.

Rock n Roll High School!
I wish I had gone to Rock n Roll High School, then some spunky Ramones obsessed classmate would do me the solid of skipping school for three days to wait in line to buy tickets to see The Ramones for everyone in school. I'm too old for high school now, haha. Anyways, this movie's a fun one--it even has the real Ramones! Also, a guy I used to be friends with said nothing good ever came out of the 70's. He clearly forgot about when the Ramones were founded and this little gold nugget. Also, yeah, it's a day late.

Kimi ni Todoke
I love love love this series! But I feel like I liked the idea of this better at thumbnail stages than seeing it at final lol. Not exactly my best execution.

Adele and news
I went super simple for Adele than my last Penny Dreadful illustration didn't I? I swear it's mostly because I think Adele (who's known for her most stellar voice) is just...her, you know? Simple, soulful music. The highlight of her work is her voice, so a fan poster of her should reflect that right? That simple elegance--not that I think I captured that, haha.
Anyways, I was in a car accident on 4th of July weekend, and as a result (besides a helluva lot of back pains and a wrecked car) have shifted my art schedule back a week. I'm sighing a thousand sighs because of all the paperwork associated with my pain and totaled car.

Late Again!
This week, I did Penny Dreadful, a tv show on Showtime (I think?) that incorporates characters from gothic literature (I don't know if i'm even right about using the term gothic--it's 2 am--but I know i'm using it to refer to a style/period of writing and not Hot Topic kids). It's a great show. The woman in the illustration is supposed to be Eva Green. The hands are what held me up. (I know, I'm sorry, I had to).

Who likes revenge movies?
I do! This week I'm back on track with John Wick. Keanu Reeves is a dude who goes on a rampage to avenge his cutie patootie dog. What more do you need out of an action movie? The poster is based on one of my favorite scenes: a stabbier version of quit-hitting-yourself.

The totally late....Doctor Mirage!
As you read in the title, this one is late. This poster project thing, is just something that's personal. No one is paying me for anything (no one's paying that much attention, lol). So no big deal that this one is a little late, I guess. I just know that if I don't keep to the strict schedule of Sunday night posts, I might fall off the art-making wagon again. I've done that too many times.
Anyways, last week's poster was for the comic, Doctor Mirage, published by Valiant Comics, currently written by Jen Van Meter with art by Roberto de la Torre. If you like ghosts and legends and love and adventure, read it.

How to Steal a Million
This week's poster is for the Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole Movie "How to Steal a Million", in which Audrey is an art forger's daughter who get's Peter O'Toole's thieving expertise to help her steal one of her father's forgeries back from a museum. It's a fun one. Watch it.

Pretty Deadly
Week 2 of making poster type things. Ain't I on a roll? This one is for the comic book, Pretty Deadly, written by Kelly Sue DeConnick with art by Emma Rios and colors by Jordie Bellaire. It's an amazing team on a gorgeous and amazing book. My tribute probably does it no justice.

Shiina Ringo
I'm doing this thing where I try to make one finished poster a week. This is week one. It's not up to my expectations, but at least it was fun.
