On the one day there was snow...

Okay, so there was only one day my neighborhood had some real snow--curse you pacific northwest!-- and it wasn't as much as I depicted here...but it just looked better this way! And I didn't really hit my sister in the face, I got her on the butt. I just didn't want to draw out the panels to show it. But she really did end up cleaning up the mess my snowball made inside the house.

Lullaby by Marina

A beautiful moment where an infant is serenaded by his aunt...sort of.

By the way, if you can't read cursive writing you're much too young.

Unicorns!

So for Christmas, my sister had made me a Monster Book of Monsters, by taking a plain sketchbook and gluing all manner of crafting materials to it.
So what I decided to do was slowly but surely fill it with various creatures of fantasy. Here is the first entry!
Of course, I would start with unicorns, of course.

FIRST POST GRAD COMISH!!!!

So one day last summer, I get this email from my old teacher, Kristin Rogers Brown, to do the back page comic for Bitch (CLICK THE LINK!), the magazine she is art director for. The issue finally came out in December and I was super excited to see it on the stands at Powell's Books! Writer Christen McCurdy wrote out a fabulous script on the life of Jessica "Decca" Mitford. I did the lettering for the comic and, of course, all of the illustration work (there are sketches somewhere in a previous post). SO EXCITED!
